What does this pattern mean?

I am looking into US market recently. Please take a look at following stocks.
NASDAQ:RTLX
NASDAQ:GTSI
NASDAQ:STEC
They have a similar flat line chart, the price remains almost same for quite much time.
I've never seen such a pattern on other markets including ASX market.
I am a beginner to US market, just wondering what does this mean to the stock?

Could be in a trading halt, could be suspended, could be no one is interested in trading it... just the same as the ASX.

Technically its called a "Flatline"
Needs a kick start---could be in arrest or maybe

Thanks for replying. In addition, the flat all happened just after a striking rise. Looks like someone threw a lot of cash in and then stopped by the exchange

They are all subjects of takeover or other corporate activity.

Say the company has striked a deal with acquirer X at $50 per share and they are just waiting for the takeover to become a formality. The share price will simply stay around the $50 mark less any cost of carry and short term flow (a tick here or there).

On the ASX you can see examples like GCG (currently under offer @ 8c), MIO ($2.20 offer) and BVA.

Even though you are trading technicals, it is OK to check the fundamental news every now and then.

Happens here as well, generally the low price shares where there is little interest.
