BBUS - BetaShares U.S. Equities Strong Bear Hedge Fund

I'm a virgin.

How long does one hold on to this bad boy @mullokintyre ?

gg
I don't usually go short as every time I've done it I've lost money.

This bad boy is rather enjoyable. I'll hold and see. US After market down muchly as the Orange emperor would say. Although unlike in the Gumnut world, money rules in the USA. I'll hold until towards le close.

gg

I'll go along with GG, watch premarket closely, and act as appropriate...good luck

I'm out at 5.35.
10% profit for a days holding is good enough for me.
It may go higher, I don't know.
Just did not want to be greedy and hold on to long.
This thing has volatility written all over it.
Mick
Thanks mate. Out at $5.39 but paid 10c more than you did. It's not as good as sex ( but what is ?) but enjoyable nonetheless.

about 5% less than your pain tolerance

if the market is crazy like this set your own exit price early ( as soon as the settlement is cleared )

and wait , if really clever shift up the exit price a few cents when the market is 10 cents lower than your sell price ( but DON'T dawdle changing your price )

in 2019/2020 i aimed for 3 months MAXIMUM holding time , but that was an obvious trend

It's nice to have the option of derivatives, cfd's so you can lock in gains in these sort of etf's in overnight trade when you get a big move in your favour but ASX is closed. Next day simply close both positions at the same point in time to realize you total profit.

Listening to BTL this morning he sees the USD index and the S&P rolling over, and mentioned BBUS as one instrument he will be looking into.
Not convinced yet, but will stick some low ball bids in around the 4.90 mark.

I actually went even further and bought some spxs on the US market s&p 500 bear factor 3
Time will tell

Noticed a couple of our ASX companies BXB and FLT downgrade their half year guidance numbers. Problems caused by the tariff uncertainty will continue to appear in the next few months. ASX is into its next reporting season and I'm tipping there'll be quite a few guidance downgrades or withdrawals. Global shipping seems to be stalling already. I can't get too bearish the ASX as the banks and resources hold it up, but I am becoming more bearish the US market during the next 6 months (May - Nov).

Bought a small parcel of BBUS today to take advantage of the dip (bounce in the market). Will add if this proves correct.

US market fell @mullokintyre , well my US Mag 7 watchlist fell . Another fine mess I'm in with you Mick. Let's see the open.

BBUS hit another 52 week low.
At the risk of losing my shirt, I have doubled down on this one.
The US market will not keep going up forever, and there are plenty of signs it has topped 9at least for me).

watch out for ( another ) share consolidation ( 10 into 1 )

i got hit with one of those a while back

my concern is they ( the US in particular ) will do another 'K-shaped ' recovery ( life-lines to their mates )
