Hi everyone,

Can somebody please explain the significance of this? I've seen this sort of thing before, but never could understand:

(1) Why the bid is higher than the ask?

(2) Why the trade didn't go through seeing as the bid is higher than the ask?

Thanks in advance

Same as always when this question pops up. PRE-OPEN

Thanks for the link Korrupt1.

But, it didn't happen during pre-open. It occurred around 2pm.

No, it wasn't the pre-open! It happened at around 2pm.

Thanks Korrupt1.
Have a look at your own screen shot. The status was "Pre-Open" that happens when a stock goes in to a trading halt and is about to re-open. It does not mean "BEFORE THE OPEN"

As you can see from the chart it was in a trading halt during this time.

When they release an ann the stock will generally go into pre-open for about 10min(?)

Oh, okay, thanks! It was just weird.
