Trading Halts

IIN announced a Trading Halt today. However from what i can tell the stock traded as normal all day.

The announcement itself gave an indication of how long the halt will last, either until another announcement is made or the commencement of trading on Monday, but could someone explain to me why it does not appear to have come into effect yet?

Does a halt commence on the following trading day?

The trading halt in IIN was lifted at 12:20 pm today after the "response to market speculation" announcement was issued at 11:30am.

Oh.. Hahaha..

So that was the announcement they were waiting for.
Makes sense now.

I'm in a different timezone so IIN was back trading before I even started watching the market this morning.
