At a quick glance didn't notice much until I read it again.

Went out for a brisk walk this morning.

I know it was brisk because at 6:30 am it was -5.6C (app temp -9.1C).

Having lived in this region for close to 40 years, I know what is necessary to keep warm when out and about. It's a brilliant time of the day. Shortly before sunrise, clear skies and the light starting to cause foliage to glow.

Then home to a hot coffee and breakfast of rolled oats, warmed milk, blueberries and sliced pears sauteed in butter and all sprinkled with cinnamon.

A simple appreciation of good things.

It's bliss.

I was watching a losing player at Wimbledon speak and the camera panned out to show the arena and spectators from above and just to the side. I had the irreverent thought that it would be good if a hidden pipe came up through the middle of the court and rapidly filled the whole vista including the spectators, just as they clapped the loudest, with ****.
