Thanks for that Clowboy, had a look, I hope to play the next round. I think I have to wait till the next game to register. The $500 Grange sounds good! (but I'll be happy if I just win the tipping comp on AussieStockForums).
Also, there was a similar game at the Money magazine website (ie the Paul Clitheroe mag) but I can't find any reference to it anymore, maybe it's stopped for awhile.
The ASX is running its stockmarket game again, entries close on 22 Sep from memory so get registered. I started to play the last one but there were so many technical glitches (and the site is soooooo slow!) that I couldn't be bothered wasting time on it. It's not the most navigable interface either IMO. Hopefully they've fixed it for the next game.

I played the Sept netwealth game and ended up in 25th place under the nick of Mazda6. I picked for that comp OSH,OXR,LHG,FCL and LNN however I missed the Oct comp as it slipped my mind.I did ask the netwealth site to email me a reminder but it seems I did not get it. I entered the ASX comp again I think last time I ended up around in 4000th place due to picking and sticking and not trading. Tjis time in ASX I have been as high as mid 60's nationally under my real name and not my nick cant understand why that happened at the momment I am in the low 400's due to the fact I have been tied up Thurs/ Fri last week and did not trade. Most of the money made in the ASX comp has been through maximising the 10 trades allowed daily. I even got a warning from them as I made 11 trades in a day, if I do it another two times and they boot me out.
The $5k would be nice, tax free too, maybe the same on Aussie stock next year or after when Joe gets some sponsers. I'll take the grange though lol.

I am coming 293rd after day one, and am fairly disapointed that alot of my initial picks for the netwealth game where not "alowable" codes.
The ASX one apears to be quite good from what Im told, I didnt end up entering it due to being to lazy, I will have to rectify that.
Also I asked netwealth to email Re : reminder of game also and did not recieve the email, just lucky I remembered.

I had some trouble with Netwealth as well. they didn't send me reminders and I just made a note of it in time. In fact just made the deadline and I also found that they only had a limited number of stocks.
But a much better selection than the ASX game. Don't blame you for being lazy with the ASX game, it's not as much 'fun' for people like me who don't spend too much time on bluechips and for those types of shares the time period of the game is very short. I hardly bother logging into the ASX game site so I really neglect that comp- just no time. Maybe when it's quieter for me. I much prefer the 'pick and forget' type comps that we have here on ASF and the netwealth game. The ASF prize is modest but attractive and it's more fun since we chat with most of the people who compete.
I'm doing pretty poorly as well in the Netwealth game (not even half a per cent up), somewhere at the bottom. But it's early days. I was in such a hurry when I entered I couldn't really pick the stocks I wanted so I just put whichever codes I could think of at the last minute. My ASF pick Destra Corp (DES) is at that stage where it'll either keep going up or will fall back on support and stagnate till end of October, so overall my 'game' performances aren't that great!!! Hence the reason to find another one to improve my chances!
