Road Traffic Deaths

The message is just not getting through to road users here in WA.
Another five people gasped their last breath today in more traffic accidents, or is it just plain carelessness when behind the steering wheel of the lethal machine.

It is little wonder that the number of deaths on our roads are what they are at present.
This morning, I had a need to be out on a major highway that has a limited number of crossroads controlled by traffic lights.
The number of cars and utes that ran red lights was frightening.
Little wonder the Police Commissioner and his lieutenants are wringing their collective hands about this sad state of affairs where roads deaths are climbing daily.
Years ago, when the Daily News newspaper was still around, it had a Stop Press box on the back page and in it was the daily carnage of road deaths.
Back then one a day was the norm.

WA drivers generally are just brain dead, recent travels driving around Oz I was impressed at all other states.

Last trip one slow driver Pacific Hwy couple of tail gaters Central Coast NSW and that's it.

Coming home, pulled onto the Freeway South 5 lane jumpers, one young bloke doing over 140 K's across three lanes, 4 tail gaters (I was doing 105 kms towing left lane) and to top off a couple of slow drivers little to no indicators.

That would be about par for the course.
I'm not an afraid driver, getting close to 60 years now,
but just about every day without fail there is some moron that leaves somewhat stunned at the stupidly of their driving skills or lack of.
Classic is when I am driving a tractor towing an implement on the road, top speed is 40k, how many try to hit the front wheel when they cut in.
The front wheels are not exactly your standard car size bit stand nearly 1.2m high
