Non ASX work

Ya know,
Been rock drilling all morning a real fun boring job Hence the missed opportunities on the day trading this morning.

Work sucks.

Ya know, many here would know that I use to trade full-time for many years. I got back into my trade because I was getting white, fat, weak and curmudgeonly because of all the nonsense.

I'm starting to get the shxts with loopy horse people... and even more curmudgeonly... And my arms are starting to look like I am into self harm.

Watch this space.

Get back in to your old trade.

Options.

I miss those pearls of yours, although I never had the guts to get in to it in any serious manner.

Heaps of volatility atm.

For various reasons I will be sticking to the Australian markets from now on, (apart from a bit of day trading if I get bored enough).

Doing Aussie options changes stuff, a lot.

I'm working out how to do this and it might take me some time...

a/ how to use options strategies effectively within the context of the Australian market.
b/ and working on some left field approaches.

I have found some unlikely muses, in so much as I may be able to combine disparate approaches somehow; a frankenstrategy, if you will.

I have always been a ruminant of ideas, hence my approach to systematic betting in that thread.

At present in the process of regurgitation and rumination. It's quite possible that the result may be nothing more than a cow pat, but I may just be on to a novel approach that works.

Don't hold your breath though .

Waynet Steady as she goes Nothing wrong with a good cow pat, my bovines give a good supply for the garden.

I quit my job 6 months ago and set up a super pension, i do not miss work at all, early days but i will be happy to never have a job again, busy renovating an old house so lots to do but zero pressure.
SoCynical hope that do get the expected enjoyment of not being tied to the rat race.
Due to a serious injury that nearly killed me 3 years I was bed-ridden and off work for 2.5 years. I did not enjoy that form of retirement, and have now been back what I enjoy, working. I guess everyone to their own. I don't intend to "retire" just because I can, even though the farm can keep me busy 7 days a week, it's not quite the same.

Some / most people need to have their time structured, need to be needed and feel part of something.

The last 7 months have been great, not having to be x and do x at x time, i find it very liberating while understand that many dont.

So Cynical, since my return to full time employment, the comments I get from those that I work for and some are approaching 40 years, is heartening to say the least. I guess it is great to be appreciated and held in some sort of regard as having a strong work ethic, which is one of the reasons I choose to keep on keeping on.
Not blowing my own trumphet or crowing, but just saying I really enjoy what I do.

Got to bail out and go and finish a fencing job, money for it is to good to say no.
Back later on.
Have a good one people.

Good fencing contractors are as rare as rocking horse poo these days. Great money too. I often consider after getting busted up under a yang yang.

Wayne some fly by nighters such as Jim's but one's such as me pretty thin on the ground.

From Product design and manufacture, Retired 7 years ago. Got screwed over partnering a restaurant that I had to take over.
Got rid of it and for the last 2 years fell into a robotics roll that I'd never have got if it wasn't for the Staff shortage.

Actually enjoy it but gonna hate the up coming Melb Winter.

After a few hetic days on the one job well 5 weeks actually fencing and then seeding have finally finished there. Going to have a few days off to catch up at home and try and keep the cook happy doing the odd jobs around the joint that have been off.

1 year retired anniversary next week, no regrets whatsoever, some days are busy others are not, enjoying it.
For me the oppositre after an enforced layoff of 2+ years I have now been back at full time workfor 12 months, and enjoying it.
Told She who s never wrong, didn't want to finsih working career as an invalid, but on a good note as a "healthy" worker.
So far it is working in my favour.

Good day to have off work today, becoming wet. Thought I might find a long forgotten 1st People's tribe and become an honoury member so I can legally bludge for the day. Camping under a tree not advisable now will get too wet. Perhaps the local watering hole would be a better possibility.

As is my wont and the weather as it is today, has been my bludger's day off.
Been rather enjoyable not having to contend with anything but what i wanted to do for the day.
And now going a have an hour's kip.
Why you may ask.
Because I can say I.

Wayne you been out and about in this weather today? I didn't needmuch convincing to stay where it is warm and dry, and the tucker laid on
