well last i heard Jerome's term will not be extended , so his watch might be shorter than a comfortable investment window into any solid project .

time will tell on that , considering 'The Fed' is owned by a consortium of banks that might face some court challenges or serious payouts might result

but this is a Trump presidency .. anything to grab headlines ( like stopping the war between Azerbaijan and Cambodia )

The fed was created by The Federal reserve ACt of 1913.
The act can just as easily be repealed by congress, and another instrument created to replace it, or the government could emasculate it and change the act so that the setting of rates and other monetary policies is removed from the FOMC and FED respectively, and given to another existing or entirely new body.

to be very honest, knowing the Fed is a consortium of private banks looks quite counterintuitive in term of nation building/ independence..
