I never ever expected to be leading with A2M!!

I bought my A2M in 2015 and laughing all the way to the bank!!!

The ATM (A2M) NZ price this morning is down 31 cents and so is the rest of their market

I'm third last so we'll just sail on. Drop of market in the Great Depression was 90% so hold hats. Maybe.
 
I'm already scared to tip for the next month, given how this month's tip has performed
 
The end of another week, boy oh boy, when will this end. Yes I know, in 2 trading days time. For the tipsters here it'll be a month you like to forget .... with no stop losses allowed it hurts.

Most probably don't want to see the journey of their selection compare to others this month but I thought I better put it up anyway. As they say "take the bad with the good".

I have also included the comparison of the Sectors and Gold for the Month of March. Will we finish with anyone in the positive? I hope so, have a good weekend everyone.

Looking on the bright side, OEC has a good chance from this low base for the April comp.
 
March 2020 is a month that I'm sure will live in all our memories for a very long time. In the almost sixteen years the ASF stock tipping competition has been held there has never been a month where fewer than three entrants have finished in the black... until now.

It doesn't seem right to give prizes to those who didn't finish the month in positive territory. I think we just have to accept that March 2020 was a unique month that saw utter devastation in the stock tipping competition. As a result there will be only one entrant on the podium this month.

Congratulations to bigdog for taking out the top spot in the March 2020 stock tipping competition, finishing with a 7.65% gain with A2M!

Could bigdog please contact me via PM regarding his prize.

Best of luck to all in the April competition! I sincerely hope it is more profitable than March was.

Visual journey of all entries over the month of March Competition. What a month that was but full congratulations to @bigdog, a great pick for the conditions that this month threw at us.

A lot of us were in the can for 20, 30, 40% or a lot more at some time during the month.
But some entries made up some great ground towards the end of the month which will save their average over the year. They would have to be happy with that from where they were.
@Zaxon was down 30+% to finish down just 3.69%
@rcm617 was down nearly 50% to finish down just 5.26%,
@peter2 was down 40+% to finish down just 12.82%
@fergee was down 40% to finish down just 13.33%
@jonnycage was down 40+% to finish down 16.67%
@trav was down nearly 40% to finish down 17.17%

An interesting month indeed, let's put that behind us now and move onto the next month's comp. The sectors journey for the month is down below.



 
Well done Bigdog. I went from first to last with one of your old regular tips (FAR) which copped a "shelling" - it's now effectively a shell company.

Hence my big short for April

Knowing how you try and get invited to all the free BBQs here on ASF Barney I dived down to the Supermarket to pick you up a packet of Scotch Fillet steaks as a prize for you but I seen a person cough near the front doors so I came home straight away empty handed. Sorry mate

Unfortunately it is Betavegeta. The deadline for entries in this month's competition was midnight last night.

However, the stock tipping competition is a monthly competition so entries for the May competition will be open in about two or three weeks from now. So keep an eye out for the May Stock Tipping Competition Entry Thread which will be started in the ASX Stock Chat forum. The thread will be easy to find as it will be pinned to the top of the list of threads in that forum.

For the prize, I think all self-funded retirees on ASF could pool together some of the money received for the Economic Support package ($750), deposited to accounts overnight

I'm happy to tithe, so 10% of what I got is $0. Anyone else wanting to be as generous?

The jump came 1 day too late due to Oil price jump. Still no closer to the prize money
