There's allot of books and articles out there explaining that the management's performance (historical) is important when investing in a publicly listed company. I've read it dozens of times.
How does one assess management quality/performance/history? Is this just a matter of getting a feel for who's who by constantly reading the papers or is there data on the history of such people out there, either via subscription or other.
I'm at a loss to understand how one goes about assessing the qualitative aspects of the companies management. Any clues?
Thanks
