Limit Order Question

Hi,

Here's the hypothetical:

Say I buy Stock x for $1.00. I place two sell limit orders for $1.20 and $1.50, at some point in the future the company releases very positive news, news that makes the stock open the next trading day at $2.00.

Now, do my sell limit orders get executed at the price the market opens at, at $2.00? Or do they get executed at the amount I requested, $1.20 & $1.50?

Thanks in advance.

Your orders would trade at $2.00.

If the stock opens @ $1.40 and closes at $2.00, your $1.20 order will trade at the open price of $1.40, and your $1.50 order will trade at $1.50.

Here's a thread that might be helpful.
