Knowledge required prior to getting started?

Hi all,

Looking for important knowledge required before getting started in trading.
I'm currently reading the educational information offered from the ASX.com.au, but, I'm curious I obviously require knowledge in 1. Economics 2. Accounting ? I don't mean to be an expert in these two but is it a vital hand to have general knowledge in them ? I definitely plan on learning fundamental & technical analyses is there anything else that I require knowledge before getting started ?

Learn about Capital Preservation, Position Sizing, Statistical Analysis.

Acquire Discipline, most importantly Self-Discipline, to make sure you always have a Plan B and the intestinal fortitude to activate it as soon as necessary.

The ability to do simple arithmetic quickly in your head and executing orders quickly are essential if you intend to swing-trade intraday "quickies".

Read, read and read some more of anything finance related.
