It's Raining

Last look at the rain gauge was 26 mm so well on track to reach the guess-a-mate of 35 mm for today.
Pretty cold wind outside also, I am told.
Might old and fuzzy, but inside is the place to be today.

Huey miss-timed it. The Perth Royal finished a few days ago.

I can remember as a kid walking through Side Show Alley ankle deep in mud and ducking for cover when the Heavens opened.

Nice drop of rain this afternoon once the wind stopped blowing.
Keeping the crops from drying out and the dams are still overflowing.
Hay cutting may be commencing in about 7-10 days depending on the weather.

Had a little bit of rain here so far this evening with some lightning and Thor banging away on his drum.
Going to pull the power lead and scurry off to the Slumber King.

Waiting with bated breath for the "storms" and rainfall to start. Just a couple of drops to date and little to no Thor's hammer from the skies from above.

As next to nothing has fallen from the sky today the aches and pains surfaced for me. Shoulder knee and hip, pressure system playing havoc with the wretched body.
Fortunately after a couple of mm a few minutes ago the pain has now subsided.

Well, not really raining but drizzle coming and going, enough to wet the ground for about an hour. To date today we have had half a mil.

Easy to watch the sky show through the bedroom window and then drift off to slumber land, on of course, the Slumber King.

@wayneL 13.5 mm in the gauge it will settle the dust for a couple of days. Little to no green growth on the paddocks though. Maybe in a couple of days will see some sprouting.

Showers and possible rain is forecast for today.
Had about 1mm so far, so due to a lack of interest in precipitation I think I will wander off and feed the bovines at the Red Hill farm, that is after morning tea of course.
She Who is Never Wrong has suggested that there may be a couple of Hot Cross buns left in the freezer, that will suffice.

Just started to load a couple of rolls of hay onto the ute and it started to rain. Back inside for awhile I think

After a long wait it appears that a bit of precipitation may be falling on the Scarp and in particular on my farms tonight and tomorrow.
The forecast amounts are not spectacular 0-to whatever, but a few mm will at least settle the dust and what greenery there is in the paddocks could struggle along for another week.

Well I had a win when I suggested to, She who is Never Wrong that a naked rain dance with the bits bobbing just might induce a bit of precipitation.

Had a good drop of rain overnight 16mm. apparently the rain gods approved of the rain dance.
Will be off shortly to check the dams at the Red Hill Farm, with a bit of luck there may be a puddle in the bottom of the dry ones.

Hopefully you have a damp miserable winter and all the dams fill up and some grass covers the dust for you
