Frankly Joh Dee I haven't put much focus on posts in the Palestinian Israeli Hamas disaster. I have found it too challenging and distressing a subject.\
For whats it worth
Yep the Hamas attack on Israel was murderous. It was always the case that Israel was going to respond with great severity.
Since then it seems that Israel has decided to wipe Gaza and all its inhabitants off the face of the earth. There seems to be have been no sense of fighting military or even semi military targets. The ongoing war has been one of systematic destruction of all infrastructure in Gaza. The clear intention now is to annex Gaza and send the million 2 remaining people to God knows where.
On the way the ASD has targeted and killed hundreds of journalists and medics. It has killed 10's of thousands of women and children in their bombings of hospitals, schools and any structure that could conceivably have any person who might be a Hamas sympathizer/ agent.
So that is everyone.
In military operations the ADF has a process of using Palestinians as human shields in their operations. How many of these people have been killed is unknown and probably doesn't matter to the ASF because they can always have find replacements.
Israeli soldier says every unit 'keeps a Palestinian as human shield'
In an anonymous article for Haaretz, a senior Israeli officer writes that the army has 'a sub-army of Palestinian slaves'www.middleeasteye.net
There is probably much more I could state but what is the point?
On the other side of the ledger ? Hamas committed a series of murderous actions in their attack on Israel last October. There have been sporadic rocket attacks on Israel. Casualties have light but real. In the fighting in Gaza (the actual military fighting ) they inflicted some military losses. You posted the awful story of Hamas torturing and killing a person who spoke out against them. I'm sure there are other instances of such actions.
Since then they have systematically hunted and killed. If the killing takes out the whole family ... well that's war isn't it.
This is the balance I see. Not much of a balance really ? But the latest exercise in murdering medics trying to rescue people, burying the evidence and then lying through their teeth about the killings does feel pretty disgusting.
Wow ! You have checked out all my posts back to 2014 on this topic. All Pro Palestine you say.It seems that you have inadvertently forgotten your previous posts, going back to 2014, all your posts are pro Palestine. Which is fine, but don't hide behind an intellectual persona trying to convince us that the world is black and white.
No disrespect intended; I have recently found myself wondering whether I have achieved an age that allows me to see problems and issues from multiple viewpoints, or if I am seeing the blinkered views of youth in our public media and left wing ideologs. Whichever it is, I will ensure that I keep an open mind and research all information, not just the one side.

I won't argue with you. No point is there?
On reflection it probably reflects the comments you made on "seeing problems and issues from multiple viewpoints rather than blinkered views of youth". Once upon a time I probably did see Israel as defending itself against Arab aggression.
Around the mid 90's when President Clinton managed to get a public handshake and a peace agreement between Egypt and Israel I thought the world could see a two State solution. One land for Israel. An independent land for the Palestinians. Perhaps an uneasy peace.
What iIhave recognised as happening since then has been an aggressive Right wing Israeli policy to expand it's territory through financing settlers in the West Bank and turning Gaza into an open air prison.
In the last 7-10 years it seems clear that Israel will never accept a Palestinian homeland state and is working to take all lands the Bible decrees were Israels. So as the facts of Israeli expansionism become clearer my sympathies for the Palestinian efforts to protect what little they have has overtaken my initial views on Israels legitimate defense of their country.
A look at how settlements have grown in the West Bank over the years
Israel has approved the largest seizure of land in the occupied West Bank in over three decades and advanced plans to build thousands of new settlement homes, according to Peace Now, an Israeli anti-settlement monitoring group.apnews.com

Over a year ago now.Iran is the last threat to Israel in the middle East. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing was orchestrated to take out Iran in a similar fashion to what happened in Iraq.
The whole thing is very suspicious. I somewhat believe in the possibility that the original attacks on Israel were allowed to happen. There is generally a 5 min response time from attack helicopters followed by troops. The whole thing is suss.

I bet no one is surprised at this prediction coming true.
Is there a difference these days. Even some of my wilder covid conspiracies got close.Prediction or conspiracy theory?
