Hi,

When trading with ASX stocks, is there a database indicating past announcements and the trend of the share prices?

For example, a new announcement came up, and some kind of database can search the past similar announcements to predict the future rise and falls

Won't be that useful anyway. If annoucement is good news, price goes up; if bad news, price goes down. What more do you need?

Some time, if the market doesn't like a company enough, good news just aren't that good... e.g. Santos just released that its biggest project is delivered on time and on budget, with first shipment in couple of weeks... market goes ehhh... Chairman of Blackmores selling a bunch of shares again, for charities this time, and the market say we ought to buy more and bid the price up.

So you'd need announcement, market reaction then, and market sentiment now then maybe it should be predictive... or just read what's in the statement.

Ok, so there's no such database then. Thanks for the response

Hi talkingtree,

I'm the same pursuit of a database of stock market data (including announcements).

Did you end up finding it?

Thanks
