Hitler is back, only he calls himself Putin.A short analysis of this movie.
Look Who’s Back: I Watched A Movie About Hitler And It Couldn’t Be More Timely - Cultural Daily
Based on the satirical novel by Timur Vermes, Look Who's Back imagines what would happen if the dictator woke up and found himself in contemporary Berlin.www.culturaldaily.com
The wikipedia view.
It is a very good black comedy. The book and film are both worth reading and viewing. Timur Vermes makes some telling observations about Germany and the Europe of 2012 and it is still relevant today.I came across this German movie called "Look who's back". The premise is that Adolph Hitler magically returns to the 21st Century. He comes up to speed with the current Germany and ends "impersonating" himself on TV show.
This is scarily brilliant. Thought provoking. Well worth checking out in this current political climate.
I don't think mainstream society has anything against Jews as in Hitler's day, but certain Arab populations have no reason to love them and they then try and stir things up.Hitler, the man himself, isn't coming back but his ideas are sadly alive and well.
Never thought I'd be living in a time when hatred of Jews was once again a thing but here we are sadly.
There were no subtitles on the one I watched so I can't really comment. That movie has many moving parts. It can really do your head in - as well as making one question what is happening in society.
The fictional story is interspersed with the revived Hitler walking and talking in role with scores of ordinary people. He espouses his Hitler views and asks what they think. Many are sympathetic even supportive. I'd be interested in hearing other posters comments who have watched it in full.
and his side kick is that whacko from North KoreaHitler is back, only he calls himself Putin.
