Thanks for commenting. I would make sure first that the replies and questions I ask are relevant to what I want to know
1. Basically, one bets on the price going up or down. There are clues in the recording that he likes to make things sound more complicated than they really are. This desire to make things sound complicated is probably one of the most pervasive and crap aspects of forums/education.
1. Basically, one bets on the price going up or down.
2. One wants to 'identify' an entry point which is supposedly not random (personal probability belief) with following price moving in their favour.
3. The variables are position size, time in trade and amount willing to win, lose or draw.
Is it that simple?
As an employer I would not be employing the wrong mindset. If during probation the employee exhibits the talent required then the relationship will continue. Some of them make it. It goes without saying the right mindset is important. Everyone needs it to function in life and we all have great variations in ability. Like the dude said it is like a sporting competition. You do what it is required to win.As a prop shop you couldn't get more basic than to say "Ok everyone, just start. Do whatever you like, but if you lose too much we will let you go". Talent will emerge naturally. On rare occasions, if someone manages to change his mindset, he might go from zero to hero.
As a leader, boss or educator, you can transfer confidence, support and encouragement, but you can't teach anything. It's up to the student/employee himself, and past performance is always the best predictor of future performance. Even if you just ran a probabtion period for a week, you'd know all you need to know about who will succeed.Wow
You guys really think that's how it works!

The guy who will become successful will be relaxed, engaged and having fun. The guy who will never succeed will be frustrated, saying things like "I did exactly what you said, but it went against me!". The second guy thinks it's all about following instructions. The first guy knows that things work out when you're enjoying yourself.
This is pretty much it. The boss gives them the tools too, lightening fast execution, great work environment, state of the art platforms. then they guide you, but its up to the trader to find thier own way, find and develop thier edge through identifying and trading plays. Keeping whats good, chucking what isn't. They usually know fairly quickly...
I have Unlimited Power by Robbins. When I got to the NLP part I stopped reading and the book now sits in a box in the garage like a captive voodoo doll. Something about manipulating people that did not sit well with me at all. Add the part of modelling people and before you know it you are studying, mocking and faking other people. So mindset and attitude can’t be taught/altered?
Better tell Anthony Robins
