Gold Price - Where is it heading?

One word from the fed and all the charting in the world won't save you.
I'd be watching long yields and inflation. Not just US.
Also China, Turkey, brics reporting lower deliveries of gold.

I still think this has some legs. But fed often puts a pin in it.

The trigger for the GFC was the sub-prime mortgage meltdown, could the trigger for GFC 2 be a currency crisis? Gold and silver are telling us something. Economic crisis is coming...
De-dollarization probably due to US debt and sanctions.

China grabbing a lot to hedge against future sanctions which makes you wonder if Taiwan will be a not so distant play.

Sanctions against China are irrelevant.

China's exports to the rest of the world make exports to the US, even if they dropped to zero, manageable.

Kitco.com did not ask me whether they could quote ASF. They have been good to me so I will let it pass today.

I’ve now seen several mainstream media articles about the gold boom and the public buying in two days in a row from different media organisations.

Long term I expect it’s going very much higher but short term from a contrarian perspective that level of media and public attention is a red flag to me.

The problem is supply is limited and the mainstream media articles are only increasing demand. If Central Bank buying continues it may be a while before we see a substantial pullback.

Any sign of further deteriorating economic conditions will also lead to further demand, as will an increase in geopolitical tensions.

I'm having trouble identifying a bear case for gold right now and think that only a pause in Central Bank buying will lead to a pullback.
