The Australian Federal Police team investigating the misuse of Australian passports in a Dubai assassination were last night in the sights of Israeli police themselves, after their vehicle was involved in an apparent hit-and-run accident in Tel Aviv.

Even the well trained apparently can't drive!

Response to allegations that an Australian Embassy car containing AFP Investigators hit a cyclist
Thursday, 04 March 2010

There have been several reports in Australian media in the past 24 hours that an Australian Embassy vehicle, with members of the Australian Federal Police (AFP) as passengers, struck a cyclist whilst driving in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The reports also state that the occupants of the Embassy vehicle failed to stop and render assistance.

These reports are untrue and the AFP wishes to correct these false assertions.

The Australian Embassy has not been contacted by anyone reporting the alleged incident, nor have local police contacted the Embassy to report the alleged incident.

The AFP take this issue very seriously and the Australian Embassy in Tel Aviv is seeking to contact the cyclist reportedly involved.

Israel seriously sucks.. worst military/country/police out of the whole world such a **** stirring nation.. funded by the Usa

I dunno about that, they did a pretty good job in the 6 Day War.

I agree gav. As if the Iranian secret service haven't been active in the Middle East for decades. The book See No Evil by Bob Baer is a great read.
