Yes bad day the 3rd .......... I found myself at an intersection in South Townsville late in the afternoon on the 3rd and there before my eyes was the RIH.

Thought I'd stop for a quick beer, so parked the car around the back and then looked over some locked gates and there was the Rolls, back tyres bulging and the front wheels barely touching the ground. I said to the wife "More gold to bury by the looks of things."

Walked around the pub and poked my head in a window and there he was! All I said was "Hows the Xmas rally going GG." :cautious:

Well we ended up getting a quick coffee at Michels Grab and Go Cafe and getting out of town. :laugh:

Gold is too rich for my blood with the gold price where it currently is. How about a copper watch? Zinc maybe? Base metals are much more affordable. :D

Congratulations @Dona Ferentes . What an achievement. 20,000 posts particularly on ASX updates, fundamental stuff and kind advice to those who don't know their gramma, many of whom don't even know their fathers.

All in all a valuable member as are many more unsung heroes on ASF which really is a compendium of knowledge on the ASX.

The RIH attracts controversy but there is a good view of the V8's Supercar Races from the front verandah upstairs. Should you decide to go in 2026 check later this year as there is a stoush between Ch 7 and the organisers and talk about the RIH of having to run 2 Miss Townsvilles ( or even 3 ) next year to make up.
