Corporate AGM

Hey,

What exactly happens at a corporate annual general meeting for shareholders? Is it a place where anyone can literally voice their opinion and ideas in front of other shareholders and management, or is it mainly for the bigger holders of company stock to talk? Is the CEO usually present, or will he/she summon some public relations spokesperson to take their place?
