LATEST DRILL RESULTS AT COMET TARGET DELINEATE NEW BROAD ZONE OF COPPER SILVER MINERALISATION
NGAMI COPPER PROJECT, BOTSWANA
_______________________________________________NGAMI COPPER PROJECT, BOTSWANA
Cobre Limited (ASX: CBE) announces the latest set of results from its infill resource drilling at the Comet Target on its wholly owned Ngami Copper Project in the Botswana Kalahari Copper Belt. Highlights include:
• NCP63: 18.73m @ 0.53% Cu & 11 g/t Ag from 264.85m to 283.58m downhole including
o 3.14m @ 1.0% Cu & 20 g/t Ag from 280.00 to 283.14m downhole
• NCP64: 16.33m @ 0.52% & 14 g/t Ag from 419.06 to 435.39m downhole
These results, combined with earlier drilling, have delineated a new broad zone of copper-silver (Cu-Ag) mineralisation in the central part of the Comet Target, 1km along strike from the previously identified high-grade zone centred on drill hole NCP20A (9.3m @ 3.4% Cu & 30g/t Ag), see ASX announcement 5 December 2022. The pending assay results from the last two holes of the infill drill programme, expected soon, will add further information on the lateral extent of this newly delineated zone.
In addition, Cobre is pleased to announce that it has contracted Australian based WSP to complete a Mineral Resource Estimate for the NCP. WSP brings a wealth of experience in injection-recovery projects, ideally suited to the proposed In-Situ Copper Recovery process.
