ASF Issues, Errors and Problems

i note Micro$oft Edge is busy updating

very annoying as i rarely use it , AND i didn't ask it to update ( but it is anyway ) ( and i am using two different browsers to do my normal stuff )

so check if Edge decided to update itself ( when you would rather it hadn't )

( and YES .. automatic updates are turned OFF )
 

I'm sure Joe will be able to fix this for you Divs.

Use Firefox browser is my suggestion.

As for ASF being slow tonight, it was likely some kind of random bot attack. They happen from time to time for reasons unknown. Either that or aliens. It could always be aliens.

i use Edge as a last resort ( and for testing ) the issue is all at Micro$oft which decides to update certain things seemingly at whim despite automatic updates disabled ,
and it has done this to others i know over the years corrupting their servers

so personally i keep 'a hot spare ' ready for issues and crashes ( especially for days like today looks to be and an iPhone as a secondary backup

but yesterday the whole NBN feed was patchy for me regardless of which website or nation i was connected to

and one reason i do not trade ( as some members do )

i expect most of the trading platforms to be very busy

if having imposter issues watch out for relatively close avatars as well say a square avatar where the long-term member has a round one ( but the same picture )

Yes, it's possible to have variations of the same name. You can have a space between words, or no space. It's also possible to have a variation like "Country Lad1" with numbers added.

In this case I don't believe there is any confusion. The other "countrylad" has six posts and a default avatar, while your avatar is very distinctive. It is clear who is who and this is my litmus test for confusion. If there is any confusion about who is who then changes need to be made.

Australia is a a big country so it's hardly surprising that ASF has more than one country lad. We may get even more at some point.
 
I continuously worry that someone will impersonate me by using an approximate name and make some outrageous post.

It's end of April as I trying to catch up my reading.
Yes, I did receive those couple of lines as well as "Error" But it's all good now.
 
Monthly competition page is currently down. I tried to change something but messed it up and now I can't figure out how to fix it.

It may be down for some time now. Apologies for the inconvenience.

I will post an update when it's fixed.
 
It's back up again now but I have been notified that Yahoo Finance is no longer active (for now at least) so i am searching for an alternative for those who want to see stock price and company info when clicking on the linked stock codes.

easy fix !! ... put bottom dwellers at top and relegate top performers to basement.
