Hi Guys,

Can someone explain to me what this means.

I did a market depth report on ANZ and even though the closing price was $18.09, buyers are trying to buy for $25, and the last 10 trades shows trades from $22 - $25.

See attached screen dump.

That's something i never understood either......although comments i have seen before range from
"window dressing"
thru to
"don't take any notice of pre opens"

So i don't any more. BUT, next to my in depth on ANZ in Bell Direct, are the letters EP next to each trade......can someone fill me in on that one?

I'm guessing that the last trades at $25 etc were early put option exercising. Were there $22.06 puts though?

Just a guess.

Just a guess.

Any trades listed before 8am, are most likely to be reportings of put/call exercises of options, and these are tagged with EP, EC respectively.

The trades reported with 22.06 price were the exercise of the July 22.06 puts.

Hi

I think the ASX website explains this behaviour. Also an aside how did you post that from E trade.
