What's the difference between XACJ and XACJA?

Hello, I'm looking at various indexes but don't know the difference between the ones with 3 letter codes, 4 letter codes, and 5 letter codes (ie: the 4 letter ones but with an "A" appended).

EG:
XSJ = "S&P/ASX 200 Consumer Staples Sector"
XSJA = "S&P/ASX 200 Consumer Staples Sector"
XFDJ = "S&P/ASX 200 Food&Staples Retailing IndGrp"
XFDJA = "S&P/ASX 200 Food&Staples Retailing IndGrp"

I'm trying to find an AU index which corresponds to GICS Industry Group "Household & Personal Products" (BLK-Blackmores and ECQ-Eco Quest); or is there no such index?

The one with the A is an accumulation index, I think. Although it should be XSJAI, XFDJAI.

Makes sense, but they're definitely not "AI" but just "A" suffixes, but I see some pattern in there - the "J" meaning (at most) 200 equities and "K" 300 equities. But this A could mean 'accumulation' like you suggest. I had hoped to encounter someone who'd know for sure. Can't be rocket science this ;-)

where many investors bought what they thought were ordinary shares with the code (from memory) of BCSCA, for a tiny amount per share, but later discovered they were only partly paid and they were up for in many cases millions of dollars in additional payments.

So good for you in checking out anything other than the usual three letter code.
