This thread was inspired by TechA, who actually made a good point, we're mainly blokes here, and being blokes it's the cars that get the attention.

So this thread is for the fairer sex. Not sure how far it will go; boys, you can talk about your favourite shoes too. No fetish talk please.

Okay, so I'll start it off, feeling silly now after starting this thread, what the heck.

I have a favourite pair of ASICS runners (technically crosstrainers), good value for money brand, nice cushioning (uses that Gel stuff) and keeps me going. well that's it really, need to buy a new pair soon, might get some next month. like the comfy cushioning and soft leather around my ankle. Emmm, rather boring talking about shoes, time for bed... :goodnight

I'll give you a hand here RK... LMAO!!!!!

My favourite trading slippers:

Wayne Those slippers look like the ones you grew up with!!

my shoe collection features
-rubber boots
-redback work boots
and
-UGG BOOTS, not too dissimilar to Waynes mokasin type jobbies

great thread Rich LOL

ps One of my closest friends (a girl) has a v8 gs falcon, a latr model v8 fairmont and a hotted up gemini. And you wouldnt call her blokey if you saw her.

point taken though- overwhelming majority of my car mates are blokes.

I'm a Sketchers freak myself. My wife bought me a pair of nice brown smart casual leather shoes from Europe 3 years ago for $350 (gave me a heart attack) but I have basically worn them nearly every day for the last three years and they still look great. They have been the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever had and going through LA in Feb, I saw the Sketchers shoes were like $40USD each so naturally I bought eight pairs. I even also bought shoes for the whole family.

I'm with Wayne.
Moccys are so comfortable.
My Blundstones have been long wearing, 20 years now, still going strong.
I hate buying brands and paying top dollar, so I would never buy Adidas, Nike etc.

these boots were made for walkin'.
and thats just what they'll do.
one of these days these boots.
are gonna walk all over you.

how condescending - a forum for chicks - the topic - shoes.

on the other hand, pretty appropriate.

Generic joggers... $24.95 from Spendless shoes. :

I'm a budget shopper.

Brown Leather Cowboy boots imported from the US (apologies to all investors here for adding to the trade imbalance)

I'm one of the 1% of the population who has running shoes that are used only for running (asics the weapon of choice).

I wear generally 3 pairs of shoes + one pair of slippers.

Shoes
1. Pair of etnies that I must have bought nearly 4 years ago and I'm still on the first pair of laces! (I'm a fairly active guy).
2. Pair of white converse basketball shoes which were given to me by a friend cause they didn't fit him and he gets the shoes for free, they are actually quite good jogging shoes (I run about 10km a week, just beginning).
3. A pair of knock off etnies that I bought in Shanghai this year, quite good quality on the outside and you can't tell the difference from the knock offs from the real things, however the comfort when your wearing them is a bit lower than the real thing, although after you break them in they are pretty good! And you can't beat the price of $15 AUD for them (Would have been cheaper if I bought more than one pair).

Slippers
1. A free pair from the pharmacy up the road! They were given them as a promotion or something, I just wear them around the cold, non-carpeted areas of my house and when I am scratching around asx.com.au .

My favourite trading slippers:

Hi Wayne,
I liked the pic of your moccasins. I wonder if you've incorporated it into your trading plan? Have you looked at the mathematical relationship between your footwear and your RRR and positive expectancy? It's all in the numbers.

Maybe I should wear jet black shoes when I trade oil and shinier ones when I trade the metals? If Maurice Green and other top Nike athletes wear gold shoes when they run for gold medals why not the same for traders? For my speccy trades I'll be in my running shoes and for the bluechips I reckon my trusty walking shoes will do nicely. It's all in my trading plan, kinda like a preflight check.

TechA says that you need to know "WHY?" you are profitable so maybe if you review your trading records you'll see that your better trades were made when you had them on. Was their an improvement in your equity curve since you purchased the slippers? You may find that the real reason behind your profitability lie below your desk, not in those fancy payoff diagrammes- remember, you heard it here first. This is not financial advice, I am not qualified to give financial advice.

Remember:
"Price is what you pay;
Quality is what you get"
Applies to shoes as well.

Count me in as another Colorado fan.............

I have these awesome slip on Colorado shoe/sandal. They can be worn as casual and dress shoe.

Sport I have to say I have been a Nike fan for a long time. I even had a pair of Nike Air Pumps where you could pump them up with the tyre pump at the local servo. Turned a few heads!!!!

Look after your feet. When it comes to your ongoing mobility, nothing is more important than your feet. Bad shoes will cause everything from lower back problems to bad knees and even stress fractures and shin splints.

For me, I can't go past a size 14 ALL black mid or high cut court shoe with decent ankle and arch support. These are pretty hard to get, so like DTM I stock up when I can. New Balance used to make a good shoe to fit this description but now I'm struggling along with a few sets of Nikes. Usually a pair will last me 3-6 months as I tend to use them for training and games.

Favourite pair of sheos ever? A pair of Chuck Taylor Allstars!

Believe it or not I love anything to do with grooming / fashion and style, including shoes, you might even consider me a "metrosexual".

I currently own 7 pairs of footwear, My favourite pair are my Tan Leather Brando Loafers which I bought at the David Jones Stocktake Sale for $250.00
