As I see it, if something is in GC then it's easily ignorable by those uninterested in it. So long as it's not going down the track of subjects that are illegal, highly offensive or otherwise portray the forum in a negative manner then it doesn't bother me.But if politics, religion etc creeps into financial threads then that's going to turn potential members away from the forum.It reminds me of a financial podcast I listened to many years ago. The co-host was religious, very much involved with the church, but kept it completely out of the financial stuff. He only mentioned it at the end of his last podcast as to what he'd be doing in the future, prior to that I'd never have guessed.
