"The tragedy of growing up in the 80's is that you didn't realise how awesome it was, and when you do, it's already over"
Yeah, but those bastids weren't in their 60s in the 2020'sProbably said about every decade for the last 5000 years?
You gotta admit that popular music of the era, and yep you can chuck in the 90s and the 70s, was in an absolute purple patch.Every generation has its quirks and largely influenced by pop culture in the west.
I'm lucky I have kids ranging from ages 6 to 21.
Keeps me aware of the generational shifts and gives an understanding of current youth culture and buying patterns.
I loved the beginning and end of the 90s.
There's plenty of bands around today making good music in whatever genre you prefer. You gotta admit that popular music of the era, and yep you can chuck in the 90s and the 70s, was in an absolute purple patch.
Before and after had been pretty shyte

Of that lot I've seen the Oils live once, AC/DC twice and Kim Wilde three times so I guess that answers the question for me.Eurythmics, Icehouse, Australian Crawl, Midnight Oil, Divinyls, Madness, Pet Shop Boys, Fun Boy 3, Kim Wilde, The Police, early U2, Nirvana, Hole, Queen, Beck, Thomas Dolby, Paul Simon, R.E.M., Weezer, Kate Bush, Beastie Boys, Madonna, AIR, Robert Palmer, Mental as Anything, and some older stuff like The Beatles and ACDC
