The completely useless irrelevant thread

I've completely lost interest in winter altogether, which will last until I completely lose interest in the Hell of summer .
And tomorrow is looking like a day to forget about also.
Not even doing something in one of the sheds has any appeal.

Better be off.
Neighbour of the Red Hill Farm thinks there is a trespasser. I
f so He/she/it will be ever so sorry.
Not in the mood for this sort of thing today.

The actions of the ATO are always baffling so it is best to just go with the flow.

For 2023/2024 FY I was in the PAYG instalment system (based 2022/2023FY investment income.) Last FY I was not. Received a notice that this FY I am. The rate is 8.19% for investment income received each quarter.

As you can imagine I can hardly contain my excitement.

@Bellcose Ah well, best you settle down a bit, don't get too excited.

Lancelin a small coastal town north of Perth which has been battered by the sea and losing much of its sand dune coastline has finally been offered some financial support from the WA State Government.

With a couple of severe weather days forecast, perhaps the Lookout area will no longer be.
The Boardwalk looks pretty precarious on the TV news tonight and will be demolished soon.
Maybe the wind, waves and ocean will beat them to it.

Not the least bit fussed about the tax aspect. I am bemused at the ATO systems though.

Computer generated letter September 2024 saying I am now in PAYG based on 2022/2023 return. Computer generated letter in July 2024 advising I am not in PAYG based on latest tax return (hmm, 2023/2024 return wasn't submitted until September so I guess it refers to 2022/2023 return.) Computer generated letter July 2025 I am now in PAYG based on 2023/2024 return.

Ya just go with the flow and not worry about it.

With the weather being a real winter's day today, being outside is not going to be an option, except of course to just outside the back door to get more wood for the warming fire in the living room.
