Yes you don't see that trait anymore, now we have moved down the track of tribal politics, it has been a while since party members could have a conscience vote, or give any credit to the other side. Not sure if Trump has accepted much guidance over the years.
With such a large ego, he is his own man, and in his last appearance as president managed to surround himself with yes men.
Good leaders accept counsel from others.
Great leaders accept counsel from those who are idealogicaly opposite.

Looks like Trump is doing more to govern Canada than he is the US!!! And all he said was stop the drugs in the immigrants... Doesn't seem that hard to do to avoid 25% tariff... Just hire some more border guards. That'll keep Trump happy. But no - Trump appears to have blown up the Canadian governmentLooks like Justin Castro is going down in flames.
Some of you may know that I was born in Canada and remain a citizen according to current law, so maintain an interest in that country.
Castro in his tenure has utterly destroyed the fabric of Canadian society, taking it from a friendly moderate centre-left society society divided by radicalism and Marxist/postmodern ideology.
Pierre Pollievre(sp?) looks to be next in line once the elections happen next year, so it will be interesting to watch over the next few years whether Canada can recuperate from the woke sh1tshow it has become.
What's shocking is the Trudeau government admitted it's border was terrible and porous. If it was secured...would it need 1.3 billion?
In response to growing concerns about border security, Canada has announced a new set of measures to strengthen its border with the United States, writes Digi24.
This move comes after President-elect Donald Trump threatened to impose a 25% tariff on Canadian goods unless the country secures its border against illegal migration and drug trafficking.
Economists warn that such tariffs could severely impact Canada’s economy.
Canada’s government has pledged to invest 1.3 billion Canadian dollars (about $900 million) into this new border security plan.
Minister of Finance and Intergovernmental Affairs, Dominic LeBlanc, outlined the plan's details.
He emphasized that the goal is to curb the flow of illegal drugs and migration while ensuring the free movement of people and goods, which he sees as essential to North America's prosperity.
The plan consists of five key components. The first is to disrupt the fentanyl trade, which has contributed to the opioid crisis.
How he still has any support is beyond me. The people hate him not his party. Yet the cowards in his party still support him knowing they're going to be wiped out? Justin Bieber would get more votes.
2025 is looking up, at least for the Canucks. Pierre has some faults, but jeez he's got to be an improvement on Castro.the only landslide for Trudeau these days is where he stands seems to have the support fall from under him and his party

Rumour sweeping the net that Justin Trudeau will step down this week

It's an interesting thread, when you go back and read the first page.I have a bottle of Dom, chilled and ready for the occasion.
Unfortunately his replacement will be more of the same... A Carbon tax WEF asset or Russian studies journalist. Trudeau has enshrined the party with his selected people for a generation.I have a bottle of Dom, chilled and ready for the occasion.
And the kings representative allowed him to suspend parliament and rule as a dictator until that time that his replacement is picked. Is this democracy or treason in action? The minority government without the support of any of the other parties and without the support of the people in the polls. No government no voting no bills no nothing for 3 months... Yep the population is going to love that. A tactic entity used to protect the liberal party not the country (as previous governments have used it as a political self interest tactic too). Government already being sued...CBC just announced little T is resigning Monday morning Ottawa time.

Fair comment. However there is an upcoming election in which Pierre looks likely to win. The question is how ready is Canadian society as a whole ready for a change towards the near right?Unfortunately his replacement will be more of the same... A Carbon tax WEF asset or Russian studies journalist. Trudeau has enshrined the party with his selected people for a generation.
With all the political cartoons of Elon Musk and Trump I'm surprised there aren't political cartoons of Mark Carney and Trudeau... It is exactly the same situation. An independent unelected person supposedly having significant influence over an elected politician.

Two men file unprecedented legal challenge against Trudeau's request for prorogation
A legal advocacy group is spearheading the unprecedented challenge, asking a Federal Court to cancel the 'incorrect and unreasonable' demandnationalpost.com
But this is the system the Canadians like. The system that makes them "better than America" if you ask the average seal basher. (The system that allows 30% of the population to govern 100% of the population)..... I've said it before and I'll say it again. Canadians deserve what they have. They keep voting for these people and they keep voting for these systems and they keep allowing this to happen.
Stupid? No. Horrifically idealistic and exceedingly naive? Yes.Fair comment. However there is an upcoming election in which Pierre looks likely to win. The question is how ready is Canadian society as a whole ready for a change towards the near right?
To me it is actually quite hard to tell because Canadians seem to be at about as f****** stupid as Australians.. perhaps even more so.
