Etrade conditional orders

Hi all

Basic question

If one buys a stock some months ago with no stop loss can one add a stop loss later.

Or do you have to set the conditional order stop loss at time of buying the shares in a company.

I know I could email etrade but they take forever to respond and sometimes they don't respond at all.

Yes no problem at all. Just go to trading page & click on conditional orders & enter details
