I have another question. I got this from the Cameco 2011 annual report. Its about the equity accounted investees.
At December 31, 2011, the quoted value of the Company‟s share in associates having shares listed on recognized stock exchanges was $30,268,000 (December 31, 2010 - $103,186,000). The carrying value of these investments was $6,699,000 at December 31, 2011 (December 31, 2010 - $9,998,000).
Do does this mean that the market value for Cameco investments in associates is 30 million where as the book value is 6.9 million? So if they sold these investments, Cameco would make a profit?
