I wasnt aware of the Einstein quote, it was as a result of something that Munger or Buffett said about only investing in businesses where you really understood what the business did, they said something along the lines of "you should be able to describe what the business does in one simple sentence.", I chose my son as the audience for that because I am quite articulate and could probably describe quite complex businesses in one simple sentence - so it was a check on me fooling myself!I suspect it matters a lot more than you realise if others cant understand what you are saying!
