Bitcoin Mining Companies Worldwide

Does Bitcoin halving help miners?

"The block reward halving tends to 'shake-out' the weaker mining operations," Simon Peters, analyst for trading company eToro, told AFP. "Unfortunately for some, with the lower block reward received it no longer becomes profitable to mine bitcoin and the operation shuts down or gets acquired by a larger rival." - 11 Apr 2024

In an April 22 research note viewed by Cointelegraph, Benchmark senior analyst Mark Palmer explained that the “new HUT” — a firm borne out of a merger between the “old HUT” and US Bitcoin Corporation — boasted a “diversified business model” with multiple revenue streams.

Bitcoin miners are starting to replace their BTC miners with NVDA AI chips.
AI start-ups are paying for remote access to the datacentres to run their AI models on Nvidia GPUs.

Check out the charts of IREN and WULF, two bitcoin miners that have started transitioning to DCs.

TeraWulf has turned out to be a great share to hold boosting confidence after some rubbish trades by me in the sector earlier. It is the only one so no need for me to be over-chuffed about it. Live chart: https://uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=staticchart&s=N^WULF&p=5&t=1

Is anyone on ASF mining BTC artisan style?
I have too much free energy, 24/7 and am wondering what would be the best use for it, ideally wo much input in term of time effort...
So i am not opening a smelter but having a pc running in the background coukd be the way...
I understand it is getting exponentially harder and i am probably way past timing wise...

I have to be a bit careful here as I am in with 4 others and one has space and an electrical cable was laid to increase power. They are a lot younger than me and brighter. Avoid mining Bitcoin as you need proper machines and a desktop computer will be useless. It might take you over 10 years to mine one Bitcoin if you are lucky. We mine, I say we as I'm mainly a sleeping partner, and Ravencoin and Vertcoin were being mined last time we had a meeting.

Anyway, these coins are easy for clever people to set up and I'm told I could do it. However, my enthusiasm and expertise are not that high.
Search online there is plenty of information out there it just takes a bit of effort for a clever person. They talk about Algorithms and Ports a lot and if you are into that then you are on your way - I guess

I just remembered they were also talking about Litecoin - anyway, those 3 coins are among the easiest. There are marked differences to be looked at as mining is one thing and after that, you will need to learn how to cash in. As they say, go for it if you have spare energy that few have.
