Best place to get latest info on a company?

I just wondered if by checking the announcements tab in commsec for a given company will that have the latest most up to date info?

Say im waiting of drilling results, will as soon as there announced by the company will they appear on the commsec website? Or is there a lag between there own website and commsec??
