Beginner!

Hey Everyone,

Very new to investing in shares, I have most of my money in cash and a investment property, however looking at heading into shares for the long term...

I've put $20k into a etrade account and am thinking of the following, thoughts?

BHP $4k
WPL $4k
NAB $4k
WOW $4k
TTS $4k

Thoughts on my picks above?

Also has anyone used subscribed to good newsletters or shares reports such as motley fools report or morning star or any others?

Need some advice please and some where to help me learn more about shares.

BHP Big resource stock, is coming off a low (in my opinion)
WPL Energy, (have you read recent news)
NAB One of the big four banks, bit pricey (in my opinion)
WOW Big retailer
TTS Gambling

I think your doing Ok!
Do you see yourself as a Value Investor?
Longer term hold for dividends?
