Hey Guys:
how can one interpret this:

American depositary receipts of BHP Billiton Ltd. (BHP AU), the world's largest mining company, fell 5.2 percent to the equivalent of A$36.98 a share in New York, 92 cents lower than the A$37.90 close in Sydney.

Bloomberg

How Can one calculate an equilavent value of a dual listed stock?

Cheers

worked example:

NYSE:BHP ADR closed at 61.77
1 ADR represents 2 ASX shares (you can check adr.com for ratios)
so 1 share is priced at 30.88 USD
AUD.USD is roughly 83.50
so divide by that.
and you get 36.99 AUD

You can also look at LSE:BLT or NYSE:BBL if you're in for long term. afaik its the same share but for some reason its cheaper!
