Can someone please explain to me how a capital raising works? For example, Sonic Healthcare and Incitec Pivot both are in trading halt pending announcement of a capital raising. If additional shares are offered at a discounted price, how do investors purchase them? Stoli

Hi, I'm new to stocks and considering purchasing $10,000 worth of shares via a CommSec share pack. If each share pack contains a portfolio of 6 leading blue-chip companies, does this mean then that I would get an equal value of shares in each of the 6 companies (ie $1,666)? Hoping someone...
