It's a term that gets thrown around a lot, especially by the postmodern left. But what is it?

This video does a bit of 'splainin'

...and for the record, while I fully support the giving of opinions, I don't necessarily agree.

Most of those accused of being alt-right, nazis or fascists by the left, are actually classical liberals and libertarians.

The vid correctly identifies the alt right, from one of their own.

I tend to agree with this.

Libertarians were a bit unpopular with the right, back in the 80s and 90s I thought. Funny how they seem to be gathering numbers now.

Classical liberals are not Liberals in the Australian Liberal Party sense plod.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_liberalism

They are not even currently conservatives... Incidently anorher group erroneously branded as alt-right.

Your group is just so egregiously wrong on this.

In a few words, it tries to justify capitalism over the individual.

Alt-right is the identity politics on the opposite end of the post modernists

They believe in the ethno state/white nationalism, anti semitism, closed border, authoritarian, anti free speech government etc.

Quite an anethema to true classical liberalaism and libertarianism.

Ironical, those branded alt-right by the umbeciles fron the greens, antifa et al, hate the alt-right and the alt-right hates them.

For instance, the morons on the identitarian left brand Jordan Peterson alt-right, but he has spoken syrongly against it.

There's a difference between being a white supremacist and being unsettled by a self immolating licentious society trying to make whites ashamed of celebrating their skin colour, masculinity and obvious innate talent for innovation and industry. The new way western society is like an anchor tied to thoroughbreds ;)

I'm white, pure English, Scott and Irish. Does that make me a "thoroughbred" and anchored down???

A joke surely and my Aussie Indigenous (half/c) Sister-in-law a retired high school teacher one of the smartest and loving in the whole family of 13 still alive(at my generational level) holding us down.

Sure, there is a whole spectrum throughout society, extremists and moderates and the in betweens.

I don't feel ashamed to be white, even though we've done a few bad things there have been a lot of goods. The extremists never acknowledge the failings of the club they are trying to push, they just think they are always right, whether they are Right or Left it doesn't matter.

I'll never understand whites being racist to whites, that is psychpathological imo.

I'm white, and I reckon what we've done with society, on an overall historical level, is nothing short of miraculous. Yes I am well impressed with my race and feel some responsibility to live up to that.

Doesn't mean I don't like other races, I do. Cultures are a whole 'nuther bowl of wax though. Some cultures I don't like and don't feel are congruent with ours. Still others are completely fine.... Irrespective of skin colour.
