Good addition or a bad addition to Federal Parliament?

How will it affect Tony Burke's seat of Watson in western Sydney?....

Will Ed Kuseck leave the Labor Party and join the AMP?..After all he did take his oath on the Koran.

Will the AMP take votes from Labor and the Greens?

Muslim party launched in wake of Paris

A political party representing Australian Muslims has been launched in the wake of the deadly Paris attacks that killed at least 129 people.

Diaa Mohamed, of Western Sydney, says The Australian Muslim Party will submit candidates in every state in hope of winning a Senate seat at the next federal election.

"There are going to be a lot of questions raised in the coming days of the events recently, and this is the whole reason we created this party," he told ABC radio on Tuesday, saying the aim was to give muslims a national voice.

So much for separation of Church and State.

I wonder how the Muslim apologists here will react to this.

I have always maintained the Islamic movement is not a religion...It is an ideology for world domination....The Koran is an excuse and not the reason.

Rumpy, I may live to see it but Australia can look froward to heaps of chaos in the years ahead......Many will recall my words after I have long gone.

No noco, don't go !

The lessons of France must be learned, religion must be kept in a box separate from society and not given institutional control.

The good that might come out of party status, is that they will get representation and lose their special minority status.

The LNP can then change it's name to the Australian Catholic Party I and the ALP to the Australian Catholic Party II

Religion should not be allowed to play any part in politics.....I think there may even be something in our constitution.

If there's any good that can come out of the Paris atrocities, it's that the name "Islam" does become very tarnished. The word "Islam" is now very stronlgy associated with death and terror. This will prompt many young Australian Muslims to question their belief system, and begin the process of freeing themselves from the poison (ie. fear) that has infected so many generations. It's all so unecessary.

Young Turks be free tonight. Walk away from the mosques. Let your hair out. There's no Allah judging you.

Muslim Party, that makes it easier to round them up for deportation where they can happily cut off hands for theft and stone women for being raped...
It's reported they beheaded a couple of women for being witches and crucified a few blokes for eating during a religious day, and brought the kids out to make fun of them while they suffered being hung up.
A Muslim party, just what we need.

I don't think anyone believes that government security agnecies have any ability to stop attacks. They're not smart enough to stop a multi-centre attack in Paris, despite having leads.

Really, if IS was to be stopped, you'd just pull out all stops and get it done. But that's not something that happens nowadays. I don't know why.

What does pulling out all stops look like? Simply this: hiring the smartest of the smart, and paying them the sort of fee required to get the job done. Imagine guys like Julian Assange let loose with super heavy-duty computing power at his disposal. Or a think tank assembled by Elon Musk. All do-able.

But I guess we'll just wait for chaos to ensue. Because at the current rate, it will.

There's a Muslim woman working at the local Safeway, she wears a hijab, it's almost embarrassing now, it feels awkward to make eye contact so you don't.

Sharia councils will be next if not already happening in this country. U.K. is fighting the establishment of a parallel rule of law. Something has pushed the religion into action here and now.

A Muslim Party is a great thing for Australia. From there young Muslims will be able to get involved and coordinate community events, like the beheading of Australian soliders, cafe sieges and large scale terrorist attacks. It will really invigorate these young muslims into participating in the Australian political system, in their own way.

Have they asked Fred Nile for an opinion on it yet :)

Why not ask him to join. :D Surely, he would bring a moderating influence into setting the basic policies. Safeguard peaceful debate and tolerance shown to fellow citizens, regardless of colour, creed, or race. After all, isn't his God the same as the Muslims'? Only known by a different name. Even Isa (aka Isa bin Yusuf = "son of Joseph", aka Jesus) is recognised as a Prophet in Islam.
So, what could go wrong? :banghead:

If they are in an opposition minority party they will probably be looking for security briefings on Jihadists...They are thinking well ahead.

I take it Muslim Australians shouldn't get politically active in a legal, democratic, peaceful way in Australia? Democracy and its priviledges should only extend to some then?

I seriously think you guys are good people, I mean that. You just don't know how to put the shoe on the other foot. And that's a shame.

You guys are good and decent people because you hate terrorist and terrorism, you loathe a fanatic religion you perceive to be oppressive and murderous; hates it because it want to take over the world and killing innocent people. That's a good and righteous thing to dislike in my book, if that counts for anything.

Now... apply the same principle you hold dear, put your thinking cap on and do some reading and not be spoon fed by popular "intellectuals" will you.

It is horrific what those terrorists did on 9/11 in New York; it's horrific what they did in Paris... people going about their business shouldn't be murdered like that; no one should have their lives taken like that.. and any religion, any ideology, any terrorists that does it should not be tolerated.

Do we have any idea what has and is being done in our name over there?

Drones taking out targets without really being sure if it is "the target", and everyone around that target is kill and everything around it blown to bits and it's put down as a success against terrorism.

There's an instance in a mountainous region of Pakistan where a drone hit a target they suspect of being an Arab in that region... and obviously any Arab in that region is up to no good. How did they know the target is an Arab? He's taller than the average people in that region. So they blew him and his terrorists up.

Turns out the guy is a teacher surrounded by students... yea, a teacher looks taller than the children around him and "we" blew them up. Oopps. There's no need to guess what the villagers think of western civilisation after picking up their children by the pieces.

You know what a daisy cutter does? Or know that missiles like HellFire suck all the oxygen around places it didn't flatten and suffocate people it didn't vaporised?

Those people deserved it because...? Because some terrorist murder our people?

Use your heart and your head people. I know it's hard because we're idealistic and believe we're a free and open society and our politicians and leaders are honest and just; and our "journalists" all speak truth to power... but come on, we're too old for this aren't we?

---
There's this scene in Ken Burn's "The Civil War", towards the end, where a lady in Atlanta cursed General Sherman of the US Union army, blaming him for torching and plundering his way all through her state of Georgia to the Atlantic. To which Sherman reply... it is not I who burn your city, that torch was lit many years ago when your state rebel and fired against the union and you supported it. The flame simply arrive home with me behind it.

The kind of rubbish I hear against an entire people... come on, you guys are better than that. Don't play right into the hands of those terrorists, and don't be played by our own warrior princes in Canberra either.

Do we seriously believe that a people is so bad, a religion is so evil, that all it teaches and all them people do is wake up, pray to their Allah and find ways to murder us because they hate our values? Hate our way of life?

We're not that special. People got more important things to worry about. And most of them probably couldn't locate where we are on a map they probably don't know or care to know about because they're trying to put food on their table and pray that their children aren't blown up on their way to school.

Anyway, somebody got to tell ya.

Well this thread is about the Muslim political party.

MP's are supposed to represent ALL their constituents, not a subset of them.

Perhaps if someone ran for Parliament representing "Plumbers and Gasfitters", what would be your opinion of that Party ?

Of course they have a right to run, but would you vote for them ?

I guess it's not so nutty when you think that we have Christian Democrats and Shooters and Fishers parties elected by very small numbers of people, but I use my democratic rights to criticise them as I do the Muslim Party.

Well at least the Muslims that feel disenfranchised will get to vent politically, overall i reckon this is a good idea, who knows they may even end up with a few pollys.
