    Hi

Our daughter and family moved to Singapore last year as she obtained an excellent job there.

However her husband, who is on a Dependent Pass [and therefore eligible for long term employment] is struggling to find work.

This post is a "long shot" in case anyone on ASF lives in Singapore, or has strong contacts there, and has suggestions to make.

Our son-in-law is in his mid-forties and has a strong career background in sales - particularly commercial and residential real estate. He knows Sydney very well and has also been a WA resident for some years.

PM advice from anyone who may be able to offer potentially useful information would be most welcome.

    With thanks

Real estate sales experience is not really very transferable across geographies and jurisdictions.

Can he take a career break and teach languages there or something?

Thanks skc. There are some (scarce) opportunities selling Australian real estate to Singaporians but no opportunity has arisen there to date. If he spoke Mandarin that would be valuable...

No teaching background or attributes in that direction.

Skills could be applied to many sales roles or business development in some areas. Experienced also in the
    printing industry.

    Excellent interpersonal skills.

Quite frustrating. Could buy a business but lacks the finances.....

    Really appreciate your response.
