Possible resurgence in Australian pig industry?

    There is currently a massive problem in China with African swine fever, it is infecting their herd and the loses are becoming worrying. Estimates are putting the losses at a possible 200 million pigs, due to disease and culling, that is apparently as much as Europe and the U.S produce.

    It may well see a massive increase in pork prices and a resurgence in Australian piggeries, which have been decimated over recent years.

    It may be a sector to keep ones eyes on. IMO
    I don't have any pork or pig related shares, having said that I do have some shares, that are pigs. lol

    Conceptually, I like your thinking, although I've never invested in anything related to pig farming and am not especially familiar with the industry. Can you suggest any companies worth looking at?

    This short video shows how pigs are killed in Australia, they are choked to death on carbon dioxide, as you can see in the video they die struggling and screaming for their life.

    Looks like the pollies missed a big opportunity here for some pork barrelling.
