Word from the USofA is that Maccas is bleeding market share to new wave food outlets.

Upto 30% of store operators there are insolvent and in trouble.

Maybe we are getting more refined.

I've never liked the conveyor belt food of Maccas.

I quite like the Coffee Club though. Better food and fast service.

    Not in Australia.
Their food is now at least as expensive as an independent café and Australians flock to them.
We are a very profitable sector of their business.

The US makes up a third of their revenue from memory. I saw thier recent quarterly data and they were back on track globally.

I can admit to being a hopeless MACDONALD's fan. I love the fact I can get a tasty burger without garlic. Almost every burger shop I've tried that claims to be gourmet loads the patties with garlic, which makes me sick.

At maccas I can order a Big Mac with quarter pounder patties and I'm in burger heaven. Sometimes I have a double quarter pounder with cheese.

I'm quite partial the fries as well, having produced them for over a decade.

As far as quality standards go, I know thier process from being in that supply chain. They were the most diligent of all our customers, thier quality systems were a standard in themselves. Some of the best people in the food business worked for MACDONALD's.

I don't go often though, moderation is best.

I love maccas also, the mcfeast is the best. But I must say in the USA you are spoiled for choice, I don't really eat Mc Donald's in the USA, I prefer "In and Out burger" that place is awesome. (except for the bible versus they quote in fine print on their packaging, lol)
