Heya,

I'm looking for some simple push or email notifications via a website or app. Ive had no luck so far searching for this service!

Id like to get a market close notification every trading day for certain stocks and indexes that ideally also states the % change.

- S&P 500
- ASX stocks

Id like to wake up to see a notification of overnight trade. Similarly with ASX trade at close.

Anyone know of a free service that does this? Im on Commsec.

Cheers

I think belldirect might have something like this.
i use Bell Direct ( as one of my platforms ) and was unaware of such a service , but am NOT saying you are wrong

there is this

More on SMS Alerts

To create and SMS Alert simply select the alerts button on the left hand menu smallalerts.png

The alert management screen will allow you to create and amend the following types of alerts:

  1. Stock Alerts - create an alert online to be notified by SMS when:
    • a price rise above or falls below a specified value
    • a company announcement is released

but that comes at 55 cents per SMS

welcome to ASF .

from Commsec ,

Now it's easier than ever to keep track of the market and the companies and shares you have an interest in. Download the CommSec Mobile App and our instant alerts service puts customisable share information at your fingertips via smartphone push notifications. You can also set up email alerts from our website.

Wherever you are, CommSec alerts will help you spot opportunities and make informed trading decisions. And best of all, they're not only unlimited, they're free.

Get set up in seconds.

this setting is under watch-lists

however this may not scratch you itch properly , but at least it is free

please note i have never used this service ( but do use Commsec , as my other trading platform )

cheers

i'm on Bell Direct , but have never used the alerts ( either on Bell or Commsec )

the rationale at the time of joining ( Commsec and Bell ) i was sometimes when working the mobile had to be turned off or at least at a distance from the actual workplace

and now i have retired , i can watch the market any time i am awake ( except those pesky hospital sections )

cheers !!

Thanks all for your replies, but just not quite what I’m after from what I’m reading. Might seek to leave this thread open for somebody to stumble upon and provide reference to the exact product I’m after

Good afternoon ausbronc
rcw1 gets a data dump in this format, via email, late evening every business day. rcw1 has probably a hundred or so stocks which comes to me in the below format. There are many other things you can tell Commsec to do at no cost:

CODE NAME LAST +/- OPEN HIGH LOW TRADES VOL
88E 88 ENERGY FPO 0.9 0.1 0.9 0.9 0.8 82 15934692
AGL AGL ENERGY FP 711.0 -21.0 726.0 730.0 708.0 5681 2843936
ALD AMPOL FPO [AL 3055.0 45.0 2978.0 3097.5 2978.0 14128 882754
ANZ ANZ BANK FPO 2429.0 -10.0 2423.0 2441.0 2417.0 10296 3922583
BEN BEN ADE BK FP 818.0 -7.0 824.0 825.0 818.0 2402 1318373
BHP BHP GROUP FPO 4006.0 -70.0 4027.0 4057.0 4006.0 28102 7933706
BSL BLUESCOPE FPO 1620.0 -21.0 1633.0 1645.0 1620.0 6180 1188421
BXB BRAMB LTD FPO 1160.0 -4.0 1166.0 1170.0 1154.0 6803 4763135

How do get this?
Go to settings CommSec home page.
Then see subscriptions and applications, have a play, as what you want should be in there somewhere, some really good stuff within this. With international markets, from memory do need CommSecIRESS where there is a fee only if you have not placed at least 8 trades or incurred a $220 brokerage in the same calendar month ... Personally, cannot recall ever being charged a fee to use IRESS as rcw1 trades constantly. rcw1 uses the advanced charting macro within IRESS not to trade international market.

Hope this helps, maybe, anyways, any further queries don't hesitate in asking.
Have a very nice day.

Kind regards
rcw1
