Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the March 2018 stock tipping competition entry thread! :)

This month's competition is proudly sponsored by Pepperstone - The World's Leading Forex Broker.

Pepperstone is an Online Forex (FX) Trading Broker, providing traders across the globe with cutting edge forex trading technology to offer unmatched top tier liquidity, institutional grade spreads and the security of tight financial regulation. Pepperstone offers online forex trading through multiple forex trading platforms, including Metatrader 4, Webtrader and Apps for iPhone and Android.

A quick recap of the rules for those not familiar with them:

    1. Each entrant may choose one ASX listed stock. Options, warrants and deferred settlement shares are not permitted.

    2. Stocks with a price of less than $0.01 are ineligible for the competition, as are stocks that are currently suspended from trading.

    3. The winner is the entrant whose selected stock performs the best in percentage terms between March 1 and March 31.

    4. The maximum number of entrants in the competition is 100.

The competition winner will receive $100. The second placegetter will win $50 and the third placegetter $25.

You have until midnight on Wednesday, February 28 to enter. However, in practice, entries can be submitted until this thread is closed. No entries submitted after that can be accepted for any reason.

Please post your entries in this thread. Remember, once you have selected your stock, you CANNOT change it for any reason.

Best of luck to all entrants! :D

Please don't forget to post a brief reason explaining why you chose your competition entry. One or two sentences is enough (feel free to add a chart if your reason is TA based). If your entry is the same as the previous month and the reason for choosing it is the same then feel free to just post the same explanation again. Thank you! :)

AVB thanks Joe. Copper explorer in Brazil evolving into a copper producer. Recently acquired a gold mine in Brazil as well and seem to be able to negotiate outcomes in Brazil.

FCR - JORC2012 released 30th January, 16m tonnes ore zinc lead equivalent at 6.9% plus 13 million ounces of silver. New management. Zinc prices will likely stay strong for the foreseeable future and it is in the friendly mining jurisdiction of Spain. There is expansion potential for the asset long strike and down dip as well which could see this becoming a massive asset.

It’s being framed as a potential world class asset by the new management but shareholder sentiment is low amongst long term holders. For contrarians this ticks the boxes in my opinion.

Nucoal Resources (NCR) for me please. Sounds like there could be huge compensation coming over the expropriation of the company's coal exploration licence by the O'Farrell NSW state government in 2014.

    21 February 2018

FONTERRA AND THE a2 MILK COMPANY FORM GLOBAL STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIP

Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited (Fonterra) and The a2 Milk Company (a2MC) have today entered into a comprehensive strategic relationship that links Fonterra’s global milk pool and supply chain, manufacturing capability and in-market sales and distribution capacity with a2MC’s brand strength and capabilities.

As part of the partnership, Fonterra will now begin conversations with its farmers to source an A2 milk pool for a2MC products in New Zealand, which is intended to significantly expand over time to help meet the growing demand for a2MC products. A similar milk pool in Australia will also be developed.

    Good luck.
My investment on CVN got up more than 30% in only few months. What about I pay you $200 and you do not curse the share price to reach 0.08 by March 1st ?
Ha Ha - You will win any way with CVN going up and up (and so I will be )

Will stick with White Energy WEC, thanks Joe

Hoping the tranche 2 appeal in Singapore favours them and not the appellants Bayan. This later goes to tranche 3, the awards.

Returning to MOY again for this month thanks Joe.

The news of its good tenement and with some cash in hand it is about to break back through resistance in my view. A lot of sentiment in goldies was lost over the last couple of years but with uncertainty growing in other financial areas I like this. Sorry to drop IRC as I think it will continue in the same vein also.

I hate to see a good prospect let go so I'm happy to select it. I'll let explod "farm in" on this one.
