January 2025 Stock Competition Entries!

@Dona Ferentes has snapped first place from me. His pick is FGR a GRAPHENE prospect and mine is GCM a GRAPHITE prospect. I understand that many members on ASF go assleep at night worrying about the difference between these two carbon related molecules. You have probably been unable to ask lest you are considered to be ignorant or less educated than the average. Fear not. This is the difference which may be a good starting point in a conversation with Gina Reinhart next time you are seated beside her at a dinner.

This is what she looks like when she is not demolishing Moreton bay Bugs, so's you know. So this is the difference.

Cant do BC8, it's too rude.
@Dona Ferentes has opened up a commanding lead. All the exciting news/announcements re my pick GCM is out now, so I reckon it may be downhill for me going forward.

At any of her fund raisers I could only afford the knife and fork, not a seat anywhere near to her.!!!!

@Dona Ferentes did his analysis on FGR and then threw a dart at it. These stocks under 5c are difficult to pick as winners and also difficult to time. I'm pretty sure I'll be fighting with you over the bar of soap down with the unwashed before long. He's grinning as are all winners, but it's only 1/3 of the way through and there are many good stock pickers down the line waiting for their dog to jump.

I notice Cap'n C Weed never enters. He's probably in and out to be the self described best trader on ASF in under a month. This is not an easy competition to win and requires some luck as well as knowledge. And it requires one to be in the glare of everyone else, no self describing here. It's there for all to see.

@Garpal Gumnut I do like that title, Cap'n C Weed 🤣

QPM breaks out to new highs and I look at the leaderboard to see my name near the top. What?

Flabbergasted to see I'm only in the top5 while the usual dart throwing bandits are ahead.
there you go, @peter2 . Displacement time

I agree @peter2 . You've done me over. I can't see my pick picking up again. The bearer of gifts may be more difficult.

Somehow someone has poured blessed water upon my little yapper since I last looked and I am marginally ahead of @peter2 . @Dona Ferentes remains in front. This is exciting.

Being in first place with a 96.3% gain is frankly indecent but it seems the way of the comp these last few months. @greggles was over 230% ahead at Christmastime from memory in the Dec. comp.

@frugal.rock After looking at the codes and then corresponding words I started to think about my pick CHN.
What might be three words of choice/wisdom

Obviously at this late hour in the evening, I have little better to do.
