December 2024 Stock Tipping Competition Entry Thread!

Good morning everyone and welcome to the December 2024 stock tipping competition entry thread!

A quick recap of the rules for those not familiar with them:

1. Each entrant may choose one ASX listed stock. Options, warrants and deferred settlement shares are not permitted.

2. Stocks with a price of less than $0.01 are ineligible for the competition, as are stocks that are currently suspended from trading.

3. Either before or after posting your entry and before the deadline for entries you must post in the forum thread of the stock you have entered providing either a general update or a view on why you think the share price is going to increase in the short term.

4. The winner is the entrant whose selected stock performs the best in percentage terms between the close of trading on 30 November (entry price) and the close of trading on 31 December.

5. The maximum number of entrants in the competition is 100.

The entry price for all entries is the closing price on the last trading day of this month.

The last competition of 2024 will be a special competition thanks to the generosity of @Garpal Gumnut who has kindly offered to double the prize pool in December.

So for December 2024 the competition winner will receive $200, the second placegetter will win $100 and the third placegetter $50.

You have until midnight on Saturday, 30 November to enter. However, in practice entries can be submitted until this thread is closed. No entries submitted after that can be accepted for any reason.

Please post your entries in this thread. Remember, once you have selected your stock, you CANNOT change it for any reason.

Wow the Comp creeps up on us. I will have to consult with my "Sage, the Bloke in the Mirror", shortly as to what may be a winner or more likely a loser.

Other than farmerge choosing WOW and then realising it was a mistake and backpeddling, still no one has put down a tip almost a week after the thread opened, wow.

No need to DELete my choice, I'm going with DEL for December. Recently took second place with it, currently in second place with DEL for this month, and even if I only get second place again in December I'll be a very happy camper.

I've noticed
a) fewer entries
b) most seem to be waiting for EoM ..... the "locked in/ can't change" provision encourages caution.
c) no matter if I go early or late, I can't seem to pick a good'un.
d) this month ends on Saturday, so we have leisure time to calibrate balance, test, dart before throwing.

I totally get it, and usually I leave it to the last minute for similar reasons (or maybe I'm just trying to gaslight you into thinking so in a desperate attempt to fool you into thinking it's not my pathological procrastination at work), but usually there are people who like to get in early and the thread is filled with tips and banter. Either way, the lack of activity inspired me to fill the space.

I'm in early for a change. PRS has been kind to me in the past , but given its price performance of late, I am becoming desperate.

I have many millions of PRSOA Options well out of the money and only a few months till expiry so I would appreciate someone stumping up and buying a few of the Heads to get it back on track and save me eating baked beans for 2025 and beyond.

So PRS (Prospech Limited) please Joe ...... If it wins the Monthly Comp, Garps ( @Garpal Gumnut) generous offer to increase the prize pot will go straight to the ASF "pool room" to fight the bad guys! ..... and I'll have a t-bone steak for New Year!

@Sdajii - have you left your past darling AGY out of competition ?

Dropped that dog some time ago, unfortunately not while I was on a big multibagger, fortunately before I suffered a huge loss (which would be the case if I was still holding). A story stock which turned out to have a bad ending, one of those 'management deserves to be taken out the back and... dealt with' companies. AGY does still stand as a great opportunity for anyone wanting to lose money though.
