My son wants to convert some of his cash to US dollars because he thinks the exchange rate will continue against us.

Can anybody advise how to do this or should he just ring his bank ?

    Thanks..........

(cant edit the heading should read "to" US and double ll in dollars)

Send Prawn_86 a msg. That is what he does much cheaper than the banks.

Depending on whether you need to have the cash or not, but the USD ETF on the ASX is an easy way to move out of the AUD.

I started to do it in when the AUD was in the mid 80s. Kicking myself for not starting last year when we were closer to parity, but there's still plenty downside potential left. The ToT is still 20% ish above it's historical average and it always overshoots on the way down.
