Another update from Commsec:

We are aware of a large-scale technical outage affecting a number of companies. This outage relates to a technical issue with a third-party software platform. We're aware that customers are facing issues when accessing some features on our website. Trading is still available and our international platform is not impacted. We're sorry for the inconvenience and we're working hard to have this fixed as soon as possible. 5:10pm 19/7/2024
 
I've basically given up on the Iress platform, still keeping an occasional watch just for interest really.

When it works, in terms of functionality, the charts are pretty decent. That's the good bit.

The bad bit is it's just too unreliable. I mean seriously:

As far as I know, Iress View point is the same on all platforms. About two months ago, there was a serious problem where my trade was stuck on my platform. (showed up on manage orders but I was unable to cancel or adjust the price) The broker was puzzled, said he can't see it on Iress but was on their site) Took some time for him to contact Iress and get them to cancel the order.

I gave up on Iress a long time ago, not because it wasn't reliable. It simply didn't suit me any longer. Live data, flashes and changes too quickly for me to gather anything for records. Very handy for see it live though, but the more I see the more confused I became, so gave it away. Good luck, Smurf
